| “Challenge the Champions”
EUROPE, March 14th, 2005 – The gaming corner at the BenQ booth was the place to be this weekend. The BenQ Catz Team sponsored by BenQ Europe challenged the visitors on Saturday and Sunday.
Playing against the best Counterstrike team in Europe was a unique chance for the visitors of this year’s CeBIT and therefore was the attraction in Hall 21.
The girls won 98% of the games and proved again their high standard in gaming. “For me this is the reason why I am here” says Christian, 17 from Cologne “the atmosphere here is even better than at the WCG (World Cyber Games Finals) in Hall 27”. Some of the young visitors went through great lengths to challenge the girls.
Stefan from Frankfurt is excited to meet the girls “We got up at 5:30 this morning to be here on time. This is a great chance to check our level and find out if we can have a chance”. The BenQ Catz team won the Optihack LAN in Gothenburg/Sweden in January. Beating Teams from Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Bulgaria and Germany the Catz did not loose one time against the European Woman Elite.
Products for Gamers
“The BenQ TFT’s are great” says Spyra from the Catz team. “The new FP71E+ and the FP91V+ have no ghosting effects and are great monitors for every gamer”.
For the girls the design is also important “I really like the blue light in the start button and the color of the monitor is really cool” AnniKa is adding. BenQ has been actively involved in the gamer’s world for the last year.
Besides sponsoring the Catz Team they are also Sponsor of the Mousesports Team and the National Gamers League (NGL). The BenQ Counterstrike Mousesports team will play on the 19th of March in Beijing for the 3rd place of the World e-Sport Games (WEG). The WarCraft III Player Mouz.BenQ.Shortround was the best Non-Asian player and won an outstanding 5th place at the WEG 2005. |
