BenQ Mousesports Team wins 3rd place at World e Sport Games

Europe, March 20, 2005 - The atmosphere could not have been more exciting in the last round of the Consolation Finals at the World eSport Games (WeG) in Beijing. Over 20.000 spectators gathered in the Chao Yang Gymnasium in Beijing to cheer up their teams. With a clear 2:0 the german BenQ Counterstrike Mouzteam won the third place at the WeG against Team GamerCo from the USA.
Their way up to the Consolation Finals was challenging, but the BenQ Mousesports Team succesfully reached the Finals with one defeat and five victories, beating teams from USA, China and Korea. Team-Leader Cengiz Tuylu ( mouz | django ] states:"We are very proud to have won the third place at this years most professional eSport Event.The result speaks for itself and shows that we are in top shape. However, we now need to concentrate on the German Leagues and the upcoming international Top Events."
After spending nearly two months abroad, the Mouzteam is amazed by the high ranking of gaming in Asia. Christan Chmiel ( mouz | Blizzard ) shares: "The last two months were a completely new experience for every participant.
For the first time we played and lived in a different and new culture. As a Team we showed a good and satisfying performance. The incredible athmosphere, caused by the high interest in eSports in Asia, showed us how famous gamesport is in this part of the world is. It is amazing !"
BenQ has been involved with Mousesports since 2003. The official Sponsoring contract has been signed in 2004.
Besides Mousesports, BenQ is also sponsoring the successful Counterstrike Catz Team, one of the best female Counterstrike teams in Europe and the National Gaming League (NGL).
