EUROPE, 22nd of April, 2005 – The BenQ Catz Team defended their title successfully at this year’s Gaming Championships in Berlin, Germany. The Cinema in Berlin was packed when the girls won the finals 16:10 against the “uniQue” Team in the only female Counterstrike Competition. The girls proved again to be one of the top Clans in Europe. Earlier this year they were already unbeatable against female Clans from Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Bulgaria and Germany at the Optihack LAN in Gothenburg / Sweden.
This Competition was part of the German Gaming Finals organized by the National Gaming League (NGL) that took place in one of Berlins biggest Cinemas. Only the 140 Finalists who competed and won over 50 official NGL contests participated in the Finals. Teams from all over Germany competed in seven different games and more than 1500 visitors attended the event, spending hours watching their heroes play. The Gamers played on the new BenQ FP71V+ Monitors and were highly surprised about the new 5ms response time. “With this monitor I hardly see any ghosting effect” shares one of the Top players “Being addicted to my CRT Monitor I now think about buying a TFT. The response time and the super bright colours are really convincing”.
BenQ is one of the official sponsors of the Mousesports Team and the National Gaming League (NGL). BenQ Monitors are very appealing to Gamers due to their short response time and trendy design. The new FP71V and 91V, which will be launched in June 2005 will be the first monitors on the European market with a response time of 4ms gray-to-gray (the time that it takes for a liquid crystal to shift between different gray levels) and are therefore a highlight for the professional gamer.
